Medium & large tree felling - felling of trees over 380mm in diameter
Course Objectives:
• Risk assessment and emergency procedures on a work site
• Planing/ preparation the felling operation
• Equipment required for safe and effective felling
• Felling the tree in required direction accurately with the use of aid tools
• Felling a larger tree that is weighted in the felling direction
• Snedding and / or de-limbing
• Crosscutting stems over guide bar length in diameter
• Winching equipment suitable for takedown of a larger sized tree
• Take down a hung-up medium sized tree with a winch
• Safety considerations during cross cutting
• Cross cutting pole length timber and stack timber safely
Prerequisites: CS30 and CS31 certificates
